  1. If copying any tapes or DVD's were legal then they would not have put the serial copy mangment in ALL home DVD recorders by Pioneer, Panasonic and phillips, which by their standards would make these machine suppose to be used only for your own home made Video's and programs from broadcast. They were good, It took me weeks to find "1" DVD player that could bypass all this copy protection crap so I could make backups of DVD's I don't want little hands getting a hold of, or editing them down so my younger kids could watch them. These backups are of ones I own not some rented copy. You know you actually make a soft PG rated True Lies from DVD you spend enough time on it. Ram Discs There great for this.

  2. weeyoo said, if you trully enjoy or appreciate the artist or their work, you will buy it. But the artist or people who made the movie don't get paid after it is released only the company who distributes the product get paid for it. So you are not really supporting the artist nor peolpe who make movies but the company.

No the producers get paid what the film earns in ticket sales. The theatres get what they can from sales of concessions stands, and maybe 5 to 10% of ticket sales.
May the force be with you.
