HI,
I have an ATI AIW 32mg, Soundblaster AudioPCI 128 soundcard. When I try to send a clip to my VCR (JVC) using S-Video in, I get a perfect picture but no sound at all. When I try to caoture from the VCR, I get nothing at all!
All the links appear to be correct: Output has the S-Video from the output socket, the audio cable from the speaker socket/ Input has the S-Video into the input socket, audio cable to the Line In socket. yet no sound outwards and nothing inwards.
ANy suggestions?
Bill

check the installation and setup users guide
that came with your ati aiw 128
if it's the same guide as I've got
pages 23 to 30
it'll explain how to install and get both in and out working properly
and if you still don't get any audio in on your computer when you want to record something
load the television application on your computer
then click on the checkmark button(bottom right of the controls)
click on the Display tab
go thru the wizard and when you get to Sound Initialization window
set the Audio Input for line in
and everything should be working fine -
Hi,
I bought the card through Ebay, so no installation guide! Can you email me privately with the info?

The information is available on the ATI site:

Hi Guys,
Well the video out to VHS works atreat. Cheers.
Now the next problem! When I try to capture using the ATI AIW, whether using the ATI Video In TV gizmo, or MGI VideoWave 5 (my favoured tool), there is no sound (yep, the leads have been swapped to line in) and although the screen appears to be finding something, it is not finding the video I am trying to capture. Any ideas?

for the ATI AIW
*repost*
load the television application on your computer
then click on the checkmark button(bottom right of the controls)
click on the Display tab
go thru the wizard and when you get to Sound Initialization Wizard
set the Audio Input for line in
and the channel is something questionable
cuz any other program will try to use the channel specified there
don't know about mgi videowave5
