What problems will I run into trying to rip DVDs to SVCDs under Win98SE? I already encode home videos onto VCDs, but Virtualdub supports capturing/segmenting and frame-serving files to circumvent the FAT32 file size limit. I've been looking at using DVD2SVCD (and all its associated programs), and I think it's possible to stay under the 4Gb file limit, but I'm not absolutely certain. Can anyone verify? What problems have you encountered using FAT32 that would be eliminated with NTFS?
I haven't even bought a DVD-ROM yet, (planning on a Lite-On, I've have good luck with their CD-RWs), but if ripping DVDs to SVCDs under Win98SE is feasible, I will.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I have used DVD2SVCD to make 40 SVCD back-ups under Win98SE. Not a single problem. I do choose to rip first with Smartripper , then invoke DVD2SVCD.
