What is VCD 3.0 ??

Seen this mentioned about a portable VCD player I was thinking of buying. I did a search here but found nothing. Has anyone heard of VCD 3.0 ??

Incidently, the portable VCD player is a Likko. Are they any good?

VCD3.0 was a reference name behind what eventually
became Super Video CD.

Thus far:

VCD 1.0 (used from late 80's, confirmed to a standard in the early 90's)

VCD 1.1 (early 90's) Sales explosion in mainland China with cheap
players & low cost (10 yuan) titles fresh from HollyWood. PAL support
as standard.

VCD 2.0 (mid 90's)
Interactive menu support added along with PBC 1.0

VCD 3.0 (aka SVCD late 90's)
winner of the HQVCD/SVD/CVD war in China. Higher res, support
for VBR MPEG-2, multi track, removable subtitles.

Future:

Blu Ray ??
DTSD (Digital Theater Systems Disc)??
SDVD / SSDVD ??
HQDVD / DVD 2.0 ??
