I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm clueless on how fast TMPGEnc should encode the ripped DVD, so I'm starting this thread.
Once you have your DVD ripped, the only thing that affects performance is the CPU speed and encoding settings. To that end, I would really appreciate it if you would post your CPU and settings and how many frames you get per second.
I'll start:
CPU: Intel Celeron 667Mhz
TMPGEnc Settings: MPEG-1 (XVC), 1225 CBR, 704x480
Frames per Second: 6 (I get 18 frames every 3 seconds)
