if i got a firewire card built in why would i want to buy Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge. WHAT can that do for me if i already have a fire wire card and i'm capturing for a DV camera that has firewire out puts???? it looks cool but i can't see y i should spent over 200 on something i already got!

...it will give you the capability to do analog captures (from analog source). She will basically take care of converting the analog video to digital, and pass the digital video stream to your PC, thru the firewire port.

Unless you don't see (in the future) the possibility of capturing video from VCR or Hi8 cam, or whatever, then you don't really need to get it.

If you a "video in" with a passthrough feature on your miniDV camcorder, it would be duplication to buy this product. For example, Sony miniDV camcorders generally have such a feature.

It won't do zilch, for others it would do plenty. You could have found that out simply by going to dazzle.com , or by reading any advertisement on the net or the box.
