  1. my apex 3201 doesn't play the above disc at all. it just freezes whenever the play is pressed either thru the main menu or thru the scene selection menu.

this problem is already reported in the unplayable dvds thread in the apex 3201 forum of nerd-out. i just wanted to post it here just in case somebody has a solution to this problem before i return it.

    i have the V1_45 1A28 firmware. thanks.

  2. My Apex 3201 can't play one CD right after another. You have to turn off the DVD player to play a two disc movie. Like if I watch a movie with two discs I'll play one turn off the DVD player and then watch the other disc. If I try to play the second disc right after the other the picture will freeze and there is no audio. If that is your problam then that is what you have to do if it isn't then I don't know what to tell you.

  3. mine has no problems playing 1 disc after the other. i have a 3 disc vcd movie and the apex 3201 plays them 1 after the other just fine. no need to switch off in between.

  4. Oh my falt I didn't read the post good enough. My only solution would be to copy the second disc and make it into a VCD or SVCD and watch it from that. How are you going to return it did you buy the movie because everywhere around here if you buy the movie open it then try to return it the tell you "You copied this movie and we can't issue a return." same with games. They won't even let me exchange it for the same movie.

  5. i meant returning the player. i rented the movie from blockbuster. i don't want to convert it to vcd or something. i rented the movie just to see whether my player can play it. .

  6. Then I would say return the player because I am yet to have problams with mine playing any DVDs and I have had mine for over a year now. If you do try to get a newer Apex because almost all of the newer ones can play way better SVCDs and VCDs with higher bitrates.

  7. thanks PimpInDaHouse. i like this player otherwise, as it plays almost all formats and has all types of outputs for audio and video. there are lots of dvds that won't play on the apex 3201 as mentioned in http://<a class="contentlink" href="http://www.nerd-out.com/forum" target="_blank" rel....com/forum</a>. if only this player could play all dvds i would love to keep it.
