I own a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB, and like it quite well. I have been doing SVCD captures from Laserdisc with it with great results. I have made 1 VHS tape capture that was 55 minutes long, and that looked pretty bad, even at 2200 kbps, however the sounds was in sync.
I have twice tried to capture a colorized commercial movie that is 97 minutes long and on both captures, although the audio/video is in perfect sync played in PowerDVD, cutting the files throws it out of sync. This is the first time I have had any sync issues when cutting with the Hauppauge. I am wondering if somehow the colorization is causing the problems, or it's due to the tape length or what exactly. Macrovison is not the problem, as my VCR is a GoVideo unit.
Any ideas?

It must have been due to the tape source, as I captured a 97 minute movie last night from Dishnetwork and it was in perfect sync, even after cutting.
