5.1 audio on Philips Player

I have a DVD-707 Philips Player. I converted some SVCD (5.1 audio) CD's. The player is conected to a home theater amplifier using coaxial digital input. The player audio is set to "original" configuration. When I try to play this SVCD's my amplifier shows that the signal is 5.1, but no sound is heard. When I change the audio setup of the player to PCM, the audio appears but in Dolby Pro-logic mode. Can someone tell me how to get 5.1 audio from my SVCD?

SVCD only accepts 4 chanells (2 stereo tracks or 4 mono)
