Hello there,
Another Dell Movie Studio Bundle victim here...
Bought a brand new Dell with the "Premium" Movie Studio Bundle - all excited about making movies and transferring over VHS stuff and rare Laserdiscs - but alas, problems have arisen.
It looks alot like the Dazzle Hollywood Bridge - but apparently it only works with the Dell version of MGI Videowave and no other capture programs. It also seems to only capture at 32Khz which is a pain to transcode (and sounds like poopy)
I'm trying to send it back to get something else and I'm thinking of getting the Hollywood Bridge but I have a big question:
It only captures DV (I then have to transcode it with TMPGenc, etc.) Is that necessarily a bad thing or are there other better capture devices?
It would seem to me to be a good thing to capture at 720x480 and then shrink it down to VCD size or MPEG2 style, but then again, I bought a Dell, dude, so what do I know?!!!
Thanks for any help.
