    Hello!

I've got some italian VHS tapes and I can't run it at my VCR. The sound is "faster than the normal" and I can't see the image! The guy who recorded the tapes said he recorded in PAL format, but didn't specify what PAL (PAL-M, PAL-N, etc..)... My VCR can read NTSC and PAL-M tapes and my capture card can read any color system (I think all of them can)! Okay if I can't see the image normally, but at least the sound I can't heard? I think the sound isn't related with the color system of the tape... Maybe the tape is bad? And what PAL is used in Italy?

    Please help me!

  2. Italy should just be plain PAL. Brazil alone uses PAL-M, while Argentina uses PAL-N, and most of the rest of the non-NTSC world is just plain PAL, as far as I know.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
