Get a CD labelling kit, such as PressIT. Or if youve got stacks of money you can buy a special printer and special discs, and print straight onto the surface of the disc.

Don't use labels if you are going to keep the CD-R's in your car. They will come off inside your CD player.

I assume that is down to the heat in the car melting the adhesive on the labels.

there is also a program called coverxp if you want to print covers. works with all forms of windows.
