I just upgraded my win98se to win xp, n also changed from fat32 to ntfs.
BIG PROBLEM !!!!
Everytime I start capturing, it looses frames like hell!!!!

What program are you using to capture? (if its a minor program try using Win98 Compatibility & see if it makes a difference. Find the "program.exe" ,right-click-->properties--> one of the tabs will have a dropped down feature to change to Windows95 or 98 for that program only.)
Have you updated the graphic card drivers to WindowsXP? (Are there WindowsXP drivers at the Voodoo site?)
How much system memory you have installed? (WindowsXP requires more than Win98 preferrably 512K or higher)
Since WindowsXP needs more memory, & if your installed memory is marginal then you probably do not want to run any other apps. in the taskbar while capturing.
Check to see that DMA is enabled for your hardrives after you upgraded.
Are you using 2 separate drives for WindowsOS and for video capture?
Consider al these questions as a way to proceed in finding a solution. -
Just an FYI on drivers, patches and ??? for 3dfx.
