How to convert to SVCD the FOOLPROOF way with Cinema Craft E

First of all, I want to thank the author of this guide. Quite useful and informative.
I do have a comment, it seems to me that steps 3 and 4 in the guide where the avi file is saved seem to be unnecessary. I ran a test and skipped the avi file save and everything seems to be OK.
Am I missing something here? Thanks for your help. :D
