I got avi files of MIB2, and Halloween Resurection. I went to convert them to mpg files using Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder. When I played it the audio was about 4 seconds faster than the video. Then I tried using avi2wav and added the wav file for the audio in Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder. Same thing happened. Someone told me it might be the Windows Maedia player. Any suggestions?

This seems to be a very common problem with converting avi> I just purchased Belkins USB II which is very simple to use but after capturing a avi files then trying to convert to mpeg the audio is out of sync.
