  1. Hi! Here I am again with more problems.
Now, I'm almost satisfied with my captures.
But there is something boring happening.
Why does exist black borders in my captures even when I capture in vga proportion (320 x 240, 640x480...)? I'm not talking about borders above and below image when we play movies in 352 x 240 in pc screen. Sometimes borders appear, sometimes don't. Sometimes below and above, sometimes at left.
Once again... Does anybody know any solution?
ps: If possible, without croping in TMPEGENC, please.

  2. Just to be more exact...
I've noticed that when I capture from TV channels there is no top/bottom borders, only a little left border. When I capture from SVideo or Composite (both from Directv) two borders (top and bottom) appear. When I watch, there are no borders in any situation.
I can minimize the problem by using 'center custom size' = 352x256 in 'video arrange method' in TMPEGENC. But I think it's a hammer. Maybe there is another thing I can do to capture right.
    If anybody knows...
    Thanks.
This forum is an odd source of knowledge.

  3. It's normal to have a few pixels around the edges that don't have the video, and yes the location/size will vary with different sources. Televisions overscan the picture by 5 to 10 percent and so you never see the real edges of the picture.
