I want to make a cvd with tmpg. Eventually I want to be able to burn this cvd to I use the a dvd-r without re-encoding. I use the svcd ntsc template and change the resolution to 352x480 and audio to 48. Under GOP structure, I set the max to 18 but should I check output bitstream to edit? Also under stream type, should it be mpeg2 Program or super vcd? Any help would very much appreciated.

No DON'T check "Output bitstream for edit (Closed GOP)" as this will make the quality suffer. Under stream type I think it should be SuperVideoCD (VBR) (Maybe MPEG-2 Program since its being put on DVD and DVD is MPEG-2 Program under stream type in TMPGEnc). The only time you're suppose to check "Output bitstream for edit (Closed GOP)" is when you want to make chapters for VCD and SVCD.
Hope That Helps!!!
