I have heard that if you have a player with twin lasers that your chances
of it playing VCD's and SVCD's is better than with a single laser.
I checked out the players in the DVD Players section here but all of
the tech notes on the Apex's do not mention the laser pickup as being
single OR dual.

Apex, ive read, basically uses computer DVD-ROM's which mean they are some colored book, possibly red, compatibile.
That's why APEX have such amazing read abilities.
