I'm trying to convert some AVIs to MPEGs. If I do so in TMPGEnc, the resulting MPEG has no sound. If I rip a WAV file with VirtualDub, however, and use it as the input in TMPGEnc, the MPEG will have sound, but often it will be out-of-sync with the video. Can you think of any reason why TMPGEnc can't just convert the sound on its own so that I don't have to rip WAV files and then compensate for lack of sync?
I've installed the Nimo codec pack. Any other ideas?
