I converted a Divx AVI to a VCD/SVCD format mpeg and it the the time of the clip was 40 minutes. Normally, I think the mpg should be 400 megs (10 megs to a minute) but I increased the quality settings to make the video look better. The ending file size was approximately 600 megs. I burned it and the DVD player (Panasonic RP-56) read it as 60 minutes. Is there a way i can increase the quality settings but make the DVD player read the video file time as is and not anything else.
I have not had the time to check if the thing is actually 60 mins but I still want the DVD player to read 40 minutes instead of 60.
Thanks for the help!
