There is probably some option in the prefences as to what size it will split the files.
Under Windows 95-98-ME Microsoft imposes either a 2 or 4 Gb limit per video file. This is a charateristic of FAT32 formatted drives. If you have Windows 2000 or XP then the limit is 4000 Gb per file when the hardrive is formated as NTSF.
Look at the size of the file and see if it's 2-4Gb chunks. -
the file sizes are all the same, ther about 615,000kb,
about 9min and 13 secs of film, there not big files.
i have tried the settings but i have had not luck.
im not to sure which settings to change. -
Try editing the registry..
There is some sorta tweaktool.zip floating around that is supposed to screw around with some of the settings of powervcr.. I havent been able to find it ...

Others have reported better success. But even if you get these small files PowerVCR plays them together as one file and if you use DVD2AVI it concatenates them and can then be framserved to TMPGENc as one file if you want to convert to SVCD or something

If I understand your original problem correctly your file is full at 600 mb but you have only 9 minutes of video/audio.
What profile are you using? If you are using a default DVD profile it is possible that your file is full at 600mb when you have only created 9 minutes of video. With PowervcrII you have to press the hammer and nail icon and select the profile. Try another profile like mpeg1 or mpeg2 or create your own. A standard vcd setting should get you about 45 to 50 minutes for 600mb. The 600 mb cutoff is another issue.
