    John,

I would extract the movie files from your CD-R to your hard drive. Then join them in TMPEG (use a new file name). Now you have one file to work with. Now follow the guides as you did before.

    - Simple Demultiplex (create audio and video files)
    - Re-encode audio @48000Hz and 384 bitrate
    - Multiplex new audio and video file back into one file (if necessary, depending on your DVD authoring program)
    - Author
    - Burn

Yes. Insert first CD-R. View the contents in windows explorer (I assume you are using windows). Go to the MPEGAV file. That is where the movie file is located. Copy the movie to a place on your hard drive (preferably a place where like to store your projects). Do the same on the second disk. And take it from there.

No. Those files are there for your DVD/VCD player to read and recognize. Those are extra files you dont need. Just the video file is needed.

A quick and easy way is using TMPEGEnc Plus. If you dont have this free software, just download it. Check in the tools section of this site and find it under the Encoders section.

After installation, open it up -

    1) Click on File ---> MPEG Tools
    2) Click on Cut/Join Tab
    3) Select the type of VCD you have (standard/non-standard; ie. standard VCD is encoded at 1150 bitrate and 352x240 resolution. Anything else is non-standard)
    4. Click on Add button. Find your two movie files and add then one at a time.
    5. Select a new file name in the OUTPUT and select where to save the new file.
    6. Click on Run.

    Wallah......you are joined, baby.
