the problem that i am having is that a dvd-r burned using a mpeg 1 file will play for a little while then will start freezing on a frame or will skip around during playback. i am using a pioneer 104 drive and mydvd. can someone please give me some insight.

can someone help me. i changed the settings to pio in the device manager will see if this works.

I gave up on MyDVD after many attempts. It appears to be a low end product. Ulead or Pinnacle are much more reliable.

i did too. found a copy of spruceup. works fine with regular dvd media.
