I have done alot of reading in the guides at VCDeasy. I got a mpg file from Kaza and followed the guide to making my first VCD with VCDEasy.
And couldn't get the burn software CDRDAO to work...any way I loaded the created cue and burned it to a blank cd-r and it turned out great BUT
the file was only a little over 14mb, thus resulting in only that much video.
I would appreciate any feedback on this matter thank you very much. Also
I notice that the Burn option thats supposed to be to the right of the simulate field isn't there in VCDEasy.

can you watch the file on your pc? if not then you may have a bad file. if you can watch it on your pc,then you might have an aspi driver problem with vcdeasy. check the tools section for a link to a aspi driver site.hope that helps ya 8)

I'm pretty sure my aspi drivers are up to date and fine. VCDEasy
said they where alright as in Yes in the field for that. I was wondering about that PCB choice Playback control, but I think I tried with and without that option. The Problem is that the bin file thats being created is only 14mb. As I said I burnt that to a cdr and it played in my bedroom DVD player GREAT but only 14mb worth. I have an APEX 1100w.Rifffffffff......WOMP! -

Thans as well for your input on this. Thats what I think I'll do next, I did dnld a version of nero. I used to work with it alot with PSX games. I was wondering, can I do the same thing Im trying with VCDEasy with TMPGe-nc? The bin file when created in VCDEasy shows it to be around 600 or 700 mb long I can't remember exactly how big but it showed what I thought to be the correct actual size. But the bin file isn't reflecting that size, only 14mb.

1st, I got a ozzy video to work, in fact after the first ozzy video I then burned 3 different Ozzy videos to cdr and they played fine I even burnt one at 8x. Now I thought you had to convert the mpg file to the .dat file for it to work on the stand alone DVD. I see where you suggested I just burn the .mpg file, and How would I do that just like back it up or like drag the mpg and drop it on the cdrw drive letter as in using Direct CD the application that comes with EZ CD Creator. I guess Now I need to try and get a .avi file and try my luck with it. I think I have to convert it in Tmpg to an mpg file and then I guess do what I did with VCDEasy huh!

if you have an error free mpg, open vcdeasy and select either vcd2.0 or svcd depending on what you want. then add your file(s)("add files" button on the bottom.) then it will scan your file. then you click the "go" button(also on the bottom). when you burn an mpg file as vcd/svcd they will work on a stand alone dvd, provided your player supports the format. you do not need to create a bin file in order for it to work.

Hello tenders how are you?
In referrence to you last post. Thats basically what I have been doing and by following the guide I read I have to load the cue sheet that was created by VCDEasy and burn in cdrwin. I haven't tried a second time with CDRDAO, and probably should because the file I tried 1st was obviously corrupt, due to it only comming out 14mb huh? Probably should try the Ozzy video (knowing it to be a good mpg) again and let CDRDAO burn it huh! Also I was wondering...Im working on Jason x from Kaza and I wonder shoul i go ahead and run some kinda mpg fix as soon as I finish dnlding. it before I attempt to decode and burn?

as far as i know there are only a few tools available to fix bad mpgs, and through experience i have found that they seldom work. avi's on the other hand, have great tools that usually work. when possible,it is a good idea to d/l in avi format.= less frustration :P

Firstly, this has nothing to do with the thread. Start you own thread if you have a question.
As to your question, it isn't possible. -

You lost me with the d/i or whatever? I tried again with vcdeasy
working with a JasonX.mpg but this time it only created a bin file that was?mb. I see a Black Hole in space margin for error while doing these types of things...yes this is what frustrated sounds like. A whole lot of things has to come together, then after that the actual encodeing process seems like to me (In Tmpg with a .avi to mpg file) is going to take longer to do than the downloading of the file...I knew it would be time consuming but this is to much. I do really appreciate your effort to help me and no Im not a quitter...its just my time is presious to me plus I have a connection to get the movies already to go. I just wanted to see what all the making or encodeing process entailed, and it is alot , at least for me the ole newbie.
Right now I need medication and then maybe some therapy and then maybe I'll give it another go. But once again thanks for your support I really do appreciate you. As the electric EEL re-enters the stage just after the encore song...breaks into what could be the final Rifffff +_)(*&^%$#@
