  1. Hi freind,
    I convereted a DVD to VCD format as follows.
    Using SmartRipper i ripped the DVD
    Using DVD2AVI i created a project file
    using Voblist created a WAV file
    and using Tempgnc i got the output in mpeg format and finaly using Roxio video pack i got into VCD,
    But the audio quality is very good, but Video quality is okay by 70% only,
    How can i get the same video quality of DVD itself, Is it possible for me to get it???? should i make any changes in the softwares i used,
    Could anyone help me???

  2. What sort of settings did you use in tmpgenc? Was it a standard template?

    You can NOT get "DVD quality" video in a VCD. Consider that you are converting what is likely a 720x480 (or 720x576) MPEG-2 file with a bitrate of up to 9,800 kbit/sec VBR all the way down to 352x240 (or 352x288) MPEG-1 with a bitrate of only 1,150 kbit/sec CBR. 9,800 vs. 1,150; around one-eighth the bitrate, no way it can be as good.
