Hi freind,
I convereted a DVD to VCD format as follows.
Using SmartRipper i ripped the DVD
Using DVD2AVI i created a project file
using Voblist created a WAV file
and using Tempgnc i got the output in mpeg format and finaly using Roxio video pack i got into VCD,
But the audio quality is very good, but Video quality is okay by 70% only,
How can i get the same video quality of DVD itself, Is it possible for me to get it???? should i make any changes in the softwares i used,
Could anyone help me???
Thanks and Regards

What sort of settings did you use in tmpgenc? Was it a standard template?
You can NOT get "DVD quality" video in a VCD. Consider that you are converting what is likely a 720x480 (or 720x576) MPEG-2 file with a bitrate of up to 9,800 kbit/sec VBR all the way down to 352x240 (or 352x288) MPEG-1 with a bitrate of only 1,150 kbit/sec CBR. 9,800 vs. 1,150; around one-eighth the bitrate, no way it can be as good.As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
