Hey. I was wondering how to get a 2 audio tracks on an xSVCD.
I've already checked this page:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcd.htm which states it is possible.
I then followed the hyperlink at the bottom for the DVD to SVCD guide @ http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdripping.htm (knowing I'd have to do a little dective work to combine this with xSVCD). Here, though giving details on mutiple subtitles no info is given for mutiple audio tracks. I checked under the first link that gave mutiple subtitles as being possible (Sefy's All in One newbie guide @ http://www.vcdhelp.com/sefy) however it gave no info on mutiple languages.
This link from Doom9
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/subs_and_multiple_audio_tracks.htm
has info however it uses a program that is no longer being distributed. Besides the program that is now out of print seems pretty old. I remember trying it back in 1999 till I found my Apex 600a 9/99 LH didn't like I-Author SVCDS (only Nero) so I dropped it.
Are there any listings that show how to add mutiple audio on a SVCD or xSVCD or anybody with advice on how to do it. I'd perfer freeware however I understand that isn't always possible.
Hopefully there's info a F.A.Q. on VCDHelp that I missed since this site has the best info. This is my first post however I have given my text reviews of my Apex 1500, Apex 600a and Sony NS400.
Thank you in advance for any info/pointers.
Gordon

bbMPEG will allow you to create SVCD MPEGs with multiple audio tracks. This download location appears to work for me.

what i did was...encode the video as just a video stream i tmpegenc...then use the mpeg tools in tmpegenc go to "multiplex" and add the video stream and your 2 audio streams...it works 100% every time for me...bbmpeg makes the file sizes huge, alot bigger than they should be...tmpegenc keeps the file size down alot...i figured this method out my self and it works great...good luck
