I got a QUE/QPS DVD bruner, which is an external Firewire model. Though the drive is QUE brand the actual drive has Pioneer written on it.
My laptop (win 2000) and PC (win ME) both bave detected it before, but now no matter how many times i try, it won't detect it again. I've seen MANY websites say that Win ME requires a patch, but it's worked without a patch before, and NO SITES tell where i can get it. And the QPS site is down.
So anyone know what i can do ?

Looks like the site is up:
http://www.qps-inc.com/support/index.htmlAs Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
Actually the site has ZERO support for the Firewire writer that i could find, and my promblem is more the COMPUTER is not detecting it rather then the software being needed.
How can i get my computer to realize somethings in the Firewire port ?
