helps smartripper speed problems

i was getting speed up to 6x and 8x ripping with smartripper 2.41 and now im only get 1.9x on both of my dvds (dvd-rom and Ao3) i dont know what happened but its very slow and also the led light on both dvd drives kept on blinking.... anybody know what happens?

ok nevermind fixs my own problems ....now my ripping speed even better now im ripping at 13x..ripping a 4.3+gb under 5 mins but i though it was just the dvd so i place another movie this one 4.4 gb and ripping it at 14x in 4 1/2 mins

But your solution should be intriguing to the rest of us. Why don't you shead some light? How did you get from 6-8X to 13-14X?

ok i have two dvd drives one is pioneer ao3 and toshiba dvd-rom. my toshiba is the secondary master and ao3 is slave....make sure you use ata 80 to 100(to get the best performent) in my cases i was ripping dvd at 6x to 8x for months and was very happy then the other day it just rip real slow (1.9x).... i found out my dma has been switch to "pio only" mode ..so i went in and changed that reboot my pc but its still slow (3x) so i un-install the secondary ide channel then reboot let windows reinstall everything afterward i test it out...work flawlessly..im still ripping at 13x+ on both karaoke and dvd movies...oh by the way my dvd-rom is 16x and ao3 i believes its at 8x speed ( i dont use my ao3 to rip at all) i think...anyways have fun testing
