    goto file....save avi

be sure to give it some compression, otherwise it will chew up your hard drive fast

  3. GTR,

The Second video is showing how the output of the video will be whether you decide to save it again , which isn't recommended if you have segmented files, or how it is going to look when the video is frameserved to another application, most likely an encoder. Video on the left is the original and the one on the right is the output after the filter has been applied; now you can either save the output file and there your video will have the new effects you've added via the filters, or you can frameserve the video to another application that application will only see the video as it is shown on the right.

What do you want to do with the video after you've brightened it up.

I.E. Say you have a single DivX file and you want to brighten it up, open the video (full processing mode) use the brightness filter and adjust it to your tastes, now you can just save the AVI as another single DivX file only now the new DivX file will have the brightness adjusted.

I.E. You can also have the filter applied to the video without saving it, where you can just frameserve the video to another application thereby foregoing the need to save another AVI file.
