  1. I serched threw this forum and found a lot of people having trouble with VirtualDub and WinXP. Basically the fact that any operating system after Win98 doesn't support VFW. Not nessasarly doent support it but doesnt have the required codecs for VirtualDub. I noticed a lot of questions about this with a whole lot of suggestions but no answers. I was looking for an answer myself. While researching this problem in this forum I came to understand that basiclly a VFW codec is needed and I found that the best codec avalible is a codec out of a $1,100 program wich makes it a unreallistic sullution, so I thought. Guess what I found. No not warez. Even better.
First let me tell you the codec comes out of a program by Pinnacle. So I thought I would go to the web page and hopefully find a link to a codec or possibly a update to the program with the codec in it. Well I went to the support products and found DV500. Hit the link and was then able to D/L the entire program. Sweet.
Gets even better. Then I went back and hit the Pro-One link and was able to D/L the new Pro-One beta v 2.0, and the Pro-One v 1.5. Guess what, You can D/L all their software. Including their DVD software. I looked at the checkout to see the Value of Pro-one, it's $1,100. No S____. Pinnacle is the richous deal. I felt as though I needed to share this with you all cause I know I would appreciate it if you shared this with me.
I do hope all you out there having trouble with VirtualDub find this before they break the link. I do suggest if you have good capture software to only download the DV500 as this is all you need to get the VFW codec to get VirtualDob to work.
Man what a find!! I hope you all are as excited about this as I am.
Anyhow, Good luck rippin those movies or producing those films. I am going now to play with my new Software Peace out.
By the way, how about replying to this thread if it has helped you out, or if you where able to D/L software from Pinnacle, or if they broke the link so others won't waist their time.
Either way, please reply as I have spent the time to tell you about it.
    Thanks a lot,
    Doc

  3. Wow... great find. Thanks a whole lot for finding this... My ATI capture card doesn't like anything other than VFW, even with the latest WDM drivers. This should really help out when I try to bring my vids to VCD... Thanks again.

Hey I found the (VFW) codec so if your having problems with VirtualDub just go to the link I posted. DL that small file install it and should take care of your problem.

  6. Questions:

Since it is labeled upgrades, don't you need a prior version installed ?
    or
    are they demo's ?

What happened after you attempted an installation? Did you get errors, or did it fully install a working app. ?

  7. I installed the Pro-One with no problem. I also found that on the order page you can download a trial of Studio DV 7. Then get a crack. I am using the $1,100 Pro-One off of the D/L with no previous version. One of the plugins would not install off of the 2.0 beta version so I also D/Led the 1.5 CD image (About 200+Mb) and only installed the one plugin that would not install.
I do have Adobe Premire 6.0 installed. I don't know is this is nessasary or not for the install to work. I know it works with the program.

  8. Great work!!!
I'm sure you didn't mean a crack but a workaround. None-the-less it's a freebie from the Pinnacle people and fully legal.

Now if I could only figure a workaround for CCE Logo, nothing seems to work on this issue.

  9. Right now, I'm installing ProOne v1.5, without any previous versions. I plan to install Premiere later on, just to make sure that my system will work with this.... Once again, great find.

  10. Pro-One is not a software-only product. It comes with a hardware for encoding and real-time video processing. Same as DV500.

Did somebody succeed to install and run Alpha Magic or Spice Master Premiere plug-in? It is contained in ProOne and 500 software.
