hi, i got a svcd that plays fine for the first 10 minutes then after that it gets out of sync by like 2-4 seconds. how can i fix this? i didnt need to encode it at all, i just burned it as soon as i got the file. someone told me to try a de-mux, then re-mux or something like that. what the heck is a de-mux?
he also told me that before i try the de-mux and mux, to try a multiplex.
what does re-muxing and de-muxing do? what does multi plexing do?

Or, for some REAL help...
I would suggest if you're going to de-multiplex, use TMPGEnc (and yes, DO wait for the chug-chug-chug, even if it takes many many minutes).
If you plan on RE-multiplexing, use bbMPEG.
Make sure you select SVCD, VBR (if it is), "SVCD SCAN OFFSETS" (this does help) and for mux rate, unput "1" for auto.
If you are multiplexing with TMPGEnc, that may be your problem right there. If all that fails... well... I'm sorry then.
