I just recently got the hang of downloading files from IRC (YAY!), and for the first time I have come in contact with a rar file. I am used to dealing with .avi or .mpg. or even .asf files, so I don't know how to go about turning this into something that I can work with. If anyone out there can give me a hand I would appreciate it a great deal. I'm sure that I will be coming across more and more of these types of files in the future, so I need to learn whatever there is to know that might make it any more complicated than what I am used to. so I will be downloading winrar (I have been using winzip forever!) and reading up on it until I get the answer that I am looking for, from one of you PROS!

Ok all you need is a program to extract like Winrar, winace

    http://www.winrar.com
    http://www.winace.com

after youve downloaded the entire set of rar files click on the .rar file and make sure all the files are in the same directory before doing so, hit extract and extract the files to a direcory of your choosing

If you get a .bin/cue files you can burn with cdrwin or fireburner

    http://fireburner.com
    http://goldenhawk.com

Or extract the mpeg with vcdgear or vcdgear GUI

    http://vcdgear.com

    Hope this helped
