Hey guys I need a little help I made a dvd out of svcd using spruceup what im having a problem with is that I need to copy it an it wont, also I tried using smartripper an it fails at vts._01_1.vob. The original files are two svcd's that I joined together with TMPGEnc an rencoded, I have no problem playing the movie or watching it just copying it, any suggestions Thank You in advance.

Your disk is probably bad. If the disk is really okay, then you don't need to use a ripper, just drag the files from the DVD-R to your HD.

But, since SR will "rip" a non-encrypted disk (which is all that you can produce), I suspect a problem with the disk.

Tell us what brand of DVD-R you are using and the error message that SR is giving you. I suspect that your DVD-Rs can't be reliably read at the speeds that SR wants to spin.

Im not getting a error message the program just stops at 6% while the dvd keeps spinning in the drive making weird sounds. Im using Princo DVD-R I just tried RiDATA DVD-R an ripped with no problem, I think your rite is there any way that i can change the speed on SR?

    Princo DVD-Rs are crap.

Sorry, there is no way to slow down Smartripper that I know of. But try other ways to get your files off the disk... ie, drag and dropping, copying, etc. However, these methods also want to run as fast as they can and there is no way to throttle them, either.

    A puzzlement...
