I have the Apex 1500 DVD player and when I play VCD's in it, they seem to freeze or skip a lot near the end of the disc.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Is it poor media? the player? the user?
Thanks for any help.

I've used three diffrent Apex models, none handled vcd/svcd well.
Return it and buy a Daewoo DVD5800 or Sampo DVE612. -
Thanks for the info, wulf.
I can't return it as I bought it months ago.... not really worried about the $, only paid $65 for it then...
So, I assume you are saying this because the problem I am seeing is a result of the player itself and not the vcd's?
I'll check out the models you mentioned and see if I can get one to try it out on...
