  1. I was wondering why every single divx file I open comes up with this error it always says

    "VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 2374 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate: 161.1 +/- 5.8kbps)"

    I'm not sure what to do at this point. I am trying to join 2 cd divx movie into 1 file and recompress it to fit on 1 cd..... if anyone could help I would really appreaciated it.

    okay I was able to extract the audio but now how do I extract the video and join them together or do I need to???

    thanks

  3. You should extract the audio using direct stream copy in vdub then convert to uncompressed wav with BeSweet. To add the newly converted audio back to the video do the following:

    1. Open avi in vdub.
    2. Select audio->wav audio and select you new wav file.
    3. Select video->direct stream copy
    4. Select File->save avi, give it a name and location and save.

    This will save your avi file with the uncompressed audio, if you want it compressed, reload the new avi int vdub and select audio-> full processing mode, audio->compression, select you favoured codec, file->save avi and save out yet another copy, this time with compressed audio.

    Hope this helps
