    Does anybody know anything about this player. Specifically, can it play dvd-r? I checked out the DVD players list and they don't have anything on it. Thanks.

    I have the 7001 series and it ONLY plays cd-rw. I'm pretty sure 7002 is the same.

    WEll, when I did'nt get any response right away, I did an internet search and found out that WallMart carries the player. So, I took one of my discs down and tried it in the store on a floor model.

    This model DOES play DVD-r!

    I honestly did'nt think it would.
