I have the Pioner DV-333 and it is a fine player but when i connect it through my s video in to even watch a movie a thick white line comes across the movie, now some seem to think this is because of some securitu function with the player , is there any players who dont have this sort of security crap ? that will also support Cd-Rs/VCDs ?

Watch it on what? TV or computer screen? Using TV-Video input?
No, this isn't a new security "feature", but is probably a configuration issue with your S-Video input. Try using the composite inputs to see if this makes any difference. -
you will have to excuse me , i am of course a newbie to all of this
but the s video in is configured properly , but reading my manual i believe what is happening is something is causeing the Macro-Vision security function to activate , now is there a way around the Macro-Vision or a certain way of disabling it ? -
Macrovision doesn't look like what you describe. And you still haven't told us what exactly you are trying to do.

this is what i am trying to accomplish , i have a Xtasy Geforce 4 TI 4600 with Vivo , i connected my DVD (a Pioner DV-333) with its S-Video Out to the S-Video In On the Xtasy , Now when i try to watch the DVD or Record from the DVD A White Line comes across the movie using Cyberlinks Power Director Pro, i want to be able to record the dvd and watch it but i cant with this white line, so how do i get ride of the white line/stripe ?
