  1. Hi,

I read the guide on here to how to make a VCD and i found it really useful. I made a VCD and it works on my DVD player. However, the sound quality is jumpy and rather poor so is there anyway of stopping this jumpy sound as it can be very annoying when watching a movie. I know it could be anything from my DVD player or TV, to Virtual Dub or some other program i used.
    Thanks for help.

  4. Did you use TmpGenc to encode the VCD. If so ensure you install toolame as an external .mp2 encoder and ssrc.exe for re-sampling. This will produce better quality audio than Tmpgenc alone will.

How were you capturing the source? You need to record in stereo, 16bit, 44100hz sound. If you don't do this then TMPEGnc will convert your sound source to these specifications and often ruin it. If for some reason you can not record at those audio specifications, then run the sound through another program like Sound Forge to do the sudio conversion for you. It does a much better job.
