Hi
Is it possible to do a C2Scan on a DVD under WinXP Pro?
Using readcd (from cdrtools) it functions on CDs, but on a DVD I always
get
...
readcd.exe: I/O error. Cannot read source disk
readcd.exe: Retrying from sector 0.
.~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+
~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~+~~~-~~~
readcd.exe: I/O error. Error on sector 0 not corrected. Total of 1 errors.
...
Apart from this, is there an alternative to find out how "properly" a
DVD-R is burned. I am new to DVD-R burning (Pioneer 104).
I have burned a few tests on Verbatim DVD-RW and MMORE DVD-R which
were running flawlessly on my settop player. Now I've tried a *noname*
DVD-R and I get stuttering playback. I want to verify that these disks are
not burned correctly on a I-don't-have-to-watch-the-full-disk level and
I'd like to verify that the others were burned correctly.
regards,
Rael99
The only way that I know of to verify a DVD-R burn is to check the "VERIFY DATA ON DISC" box on your burning program.
The data on a DVD-Video disk is in a different type of file system.
