How can I rip my DVD's and convert them to CVD?
How does I know if my DVD Player is compatible with CVD format?

There is a guide on how to do this on the front page of this site..
However, in a nutshell, rip your DVD as if you were ripping to SVCD, but change the horozontal resolution to 352 instead of 480.
As for compatability....if your DVD player will play burnt CD's it should have no problem reading CVD as the mpeg file used is DVD compliant.....mostly....you will have to change the audio sample rate to get a truely DVD compliant file but for the most part you should be able to leave it as-is.
Have fun...
