  1. ok, this has gone on far too long. my NS700P will NOT play SVCD's, so I have been changing the file header to "trick" the player into thinking it's VCD 2.0. now, i can deal with that....BUT, i can't figure out a way to build chapters and entrypoints into my VCD's. if i use VCDEasy, it converts it back to SVCD which can't be read on my player.

PLEASE tell me there's someone on this board who has figured out how to get past this!!!!

WHY WON'T NERO BUILD CHAPTERING SUPPORT INTO THE BURNER?????????

  3. it's so funny that you mention that. i just downloaded that and set it up. haven't used it though. can i ask you how to use it?

do you assign the chapter/entrypoint locations and process the file and then burn it as a VCD in Nero? or do you have to re-multiplex it again after creating the chapters? which burner do you use?

You assign entrypoints, make a menu with the entrypoints, and then it will burn it for you. I works well with vcd and svcd but i am having problems with dvd. I have got it to work on my hp 9500 series cd burner in my old computer. I have not tried to make a vcd on my new one so i don't know if my pioneer cd/dvd-rw dv-104 works.

  5. i did it with MovieFactory and i was really psyched because it's a nice simple interface and it seems pretty cool. however, at about 60% burnt it gave me a generic error message like "Image Failed to Burn to CD". is this just a buffer underrun error?

I am not sure what it is. It might be that the file was bigger than the cd capactity, but probably just a buffer underrun error.
