  1. Ok after ripping with Smartripper I get the .m2v and ac3 files. when i play it through Spruceup it comes up about 30 minutes short? This happens with every movie I tried. So then I tried to get the VOB files using DVD decrypter and put them in a folder. I then used Ifoedit to play the dvd movie and the movie is complete. Now I need to use Smartripper and load the VOB"s from its directory to demux it to a m2v file. I need to demux to m2v to use ReMPEG to shrink it to fit on a dvd-r . But before I do this i played the movie again using Spruceup and again the movie is short? Even though it worked with all the Vob files in Ifoedit before? Whats going on?
Is there another way to shrink the VOB files?
    Please help
    Thanks

  2. what is the file size for the vob file when you use smartripper? What file system are you using on your hard drive? if you are running fat32 i bet you hit the 4gig limit. fat32 can't have a single file bigger than 4g's. Smartripper keeps going and looks like it finishes, but it can't write to the hard drive anymore when the file size hits 4gigs. What os are you running? If it is Xp or 2000 it is not too difficult to convert to ntfs which has no 4 gig limitation.
