It may depends on how fast the processor is takin the video and burnin it.

Just to be safe though i wouldn't do stuff while burnin cuz dvds i know cost alot of money it would suck if you made a coaster and had to throw it away. But nero is pretty safe when burnin if you want to do stuff on the machine make sure Burn Proof is enabled if nero has that feature not sure cuz i haven't used nero for months

    Hope this helped you

  4. I have tested this a lot with CD burning. My results are that as long as you have a burner with buffer underrun protection it can be very difficult to make a coaster. I have played online video games, ran a bazillions tray apps, virus scanning, and cd burning and still no coaster. Its almost disappointing but I never burned a coaster nor ever noticed a single visual or audible artifact on loads of VCD or SVCD disks.

  5. I do what I want on my computer and I have a burner without burn proof, though mine has a 8 meg buffer which is 4x the size of most of the burn proof burners out there I nver make coasters either and I use WIN98SE also. That includes while burning, printing, Encoding with TMPGE and downloading from WINMX with Zonealarm Firewall on. Then again thats using a CD-RW Burner not a DVD burner, my blanks cost 1/10th the price of a DVD blank also.
