  1. I've read the posts and I have the guides. I will try a few of the tips when I get home (I'm slacking at work ). Just a quicky question b4 I try anything.

After extracting the audio via VirtualDub, encoding via TPMGEnc, and burning w/ Nero, the audio is out of sync when playing in my Mintek 1600. Most VCDs play great on it. My latest one however, get's out of sync everytime it's played, but in different places everytime. Sometimes, the video speeds up and slows down. Some times it doesn't. The exact same disk performs differently every time. The mpeg file it came from plays like a dream on my PC. Does this mean the the problem is in my Mintek?

    Thank you in advance.

  2. Have you changed bitrates around recently?
Have you checked the .avi for synch?
Have you checked the .avi for bad frames?
    Try this guide: http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=100617
It 's probably the most comprehensive and fastest (comparatively) guide I've seen for A/V synch.

I have a similar problem(slacking at work also). Using same software I converted American Pie to 2 x MPGs. First part was OK but second part was out of synch by about 2 seconds. Second attempt produced same result on same PC. I've converted about 10 movies before without any problems!

Weird. I'm inclined to suspect CPU(Pentium 933) is struggling so I will retry on home Athlon 1.3 at weekend.

Regards but not much help meantime
