Hello. I have a large .Bin image file that I downloaded It's 755mb. How do I burn it to CD that is Maximum 80 min. Doesn't seem to have enough room. I use Nero and know that it can overburn, but is that too much or has anyone successfully burned that size file to disk?
Thanks

if that bin file came with a cue file
load the cue file into Nero and then burn
I successfully burned a 790mb bin to an 80min cd
and 80min cd's hold 700mb

Thanks for the reply:
Yes, it did come with a cue file, and I loaded it into Nero and all looked well until I started the burn,, then the infamous "Not enough Room" message came up.
In your case, did you set Nero to overburn, and if so, for how much time over?
Thanks again. -
in nero I've got it set to overburn to 84mins
File - Preferences - Expert Features
84 0 0
that's what I've got for the overburn
try it and let Me know if that helps -
Well, I made the settings, but before I try this, I wonder if this is also a problem
I'm burning Tony Hawk Pro skater 3, and the cue file has a second track in the cue file, an audio track. It looks as follows:
TRACK 02 AUDIO
PREGAP 00:02:00
INDEX 01 71:48:56
When this pops up under the info tab it also pops up as a 755mb track. I would have thought that the index would narrow it's size, but I'm wondering if this is a bigger problem, making nero think that it's trying to write 1500 MB? Should I take the second track out of the .cue file? What do you think? I'll wait for your response before I try to burn. Thanks again. -
You can burn a 800mb image file on a 700mb CD without overburning
-
if I'm understanding the cue file exactly
INDEX 01 71:48:56 means that it'll start burning the second track at 71:48:56
and not mean that that is the size of that track
so don't remove it just yet -
Nero is not very good at burning bin and cue files. Use a program designed for this like CDRwin, Fireburner, or if you want to go with the free route use CDRAO.
There is no reason to overburn, it will fit but you need to use the right burning program for the job.
From the looks of the cue it definitely looks like a psx game. Do not delete the audio track reference, that could definitely cause you to burn a coaster.
