    Hi all,

    Since this is a brand new player unfortunatelly its not listed in the DVD list. Anyone out there had a chance to test it with VCD and SVCD?

    On a side note is there an inherent incompatibility in reading SVCDs on a progressive scan player?

    Well since I got no reply I went out and bought it to test it out...

    VCD works great
    SVCD works great
    DVD works great ;)
    MP3 works great

    CDR (memorex 80min) burnt 7 so far had no problems reading any of them (burnt at 24x with cdrwin on a plextor eide) all in all very happy with it and I plan to keep it
    its actually specifically designed for svcd as when u put it in it recognizes it and says super video cd vs just video cd when showing the media type...cheers and good luck burnin

    ah yes component video output and progressive scan are nice too
