    You should have a volume control on your TV, if you turn that up then.....

    So the original AVI/Mpeg has low audio, then you need to use an editor to increase that. www.goldwave.com (With the MP3 plug-ins) is very good, you can maximize the sound, make a mono stereo etc.

    Gold wave can load AVI's (Strips audio out) or you can save the WAV from an AVI in Vdub, lots of other methods, also TMPGENC can increase the audio level when your converting from AVI to mpeg1

  4. If your talking about the volume for VCDs and SVCDs...
    If you use the program DVD2AVI in your process for making VCDs and SVCDs, then you can select the option NORMALIZATION which really helps adjust the audio before encoding. If you don't use DVD2AVI, then this post is no help whatsoever.
