    I used to be able to play incomplete avi. 's with virtual dub but then i downloaded the new VDub and i cannot, please help. Jono.

    You need to check the box that pops up other options, re-key etc.

    However partially downloaded files can be previewed in TMPGEnc, if the file is a .dat then copy it to a temporary location, rename to .AVI for AVI .mpg for .mpg then load into TMPGENC and select preview
