I want to make a vcd from an avifile but i first have to convert the audiostream. After converting what happened is that after 5 minutes of playing the screen turns blank for a few seconds.
Hereafter the video and audio are out of synch.
This also happened when using nandub.
With the original avifile there is nothing wrong.
What am i doing wrong?
A few days ago i didn't had that problem?
Please help

open your avi file in virtualdub, the select file-> file properties. Note down all the info.
If you then comeback here, post that info plus a detailed description of the steps you have taken and a fuller description of the problem you have encountered someone may be able to help (maybe even me)

You still don't say exactly what procedure you are following, but let me guess. In vdub, audio-full processing mode, downsample to 44.1khz, save as wav. Then in Tmpgenc, convert to standard (S)VCD using the NTSC film template, using the wav as audio source.
Have you checked the avi for bad frames? Thats the only thing I can think of at the mo?
How is the audio out of sync, ahead or behind the video, does it get worse as the video plays or stay the same? -
It seems that the file has bad frames, looking the movie from the cd goes good but when i just copy the file to harddisk (no adjusment made).
The error appears.
When i tried to fix it with divfix it says that the file is protected???
Can an avi file be protected?
Which program can search for bad frames?

If you copy back to your hard drive from a CD it has become "Read Only"
so right click and select properties and change it to read write.
Use Vdub Video > Scan Video stream for errors
When its finished, use
Video > direct stream copy
Audio > direct stream copy
SAVE AVI
Save as movie2.avi

I think there is an error on the cd.
Yesterday i copied the cd to another cd but than the error shows up.
Thanks anyway.
