  1. Does this work? The CD-R's are cheaper but can I use them with my CD-RW drive? Further, will CD-RW disks play in all DVD players? Also, my friend broke my driver (and burning) software CD. Is there free burning software out there?

    CD burners are for burning both CD-R and CD-Rw.

    No, not all players play CD-R's or CD-RWs.

    There is such a software. Look at "Tools" on the menues to the right.
